Imvubu means hippopotamus and the lodge adopted the name when the first hippos reintroduced to the game reserve took up residence in the large pool in front of the lodge.
Imvubu was built on the first lodge site chosen at Mbuluzi and for good reason. It is set among beautiful big Boerebean trees with a lovely view over a large pool on the Mlawula river.
Imvubu lodge has 4 en-suite guest rooms that can be made up as twin or double bed rooms. Each has it's own 'outside' shower making for serene star lit shower experiences.
There is a large central communal area with a fully equipped kitchen.
